Port 4: Freeport, Bahamas

Our final destination: Freeport, Bahamas

Cruise 379

We didn't have a shore excursion planned for Freeport because we figured since it was the Bahamas there would be tons of stuff to do. The beach was beautiful, but it was so hot it was almost miserable!

Since there were a ton of resorts on the beach, the beach was pretty crowded and you had to pay to use their beach chairs and since it was so miserably hot we walked around and did some shopping and got some ice cream! We looked around for a scuba shop to maybe go scuba diving, and we finally found one but all the dives were cancelled for the day for some reason!

We didn't do a whole lot besides shopping & swim a little, but it was still fun! The Bahamas are beautiful! :)

Port 3: Belize City, Belize

Cruise 229d

Belize was so much fun!

We went cave tubing & zip-lining through the jungle!

We ended up booking the excursion through Belize Cruise Excursions instead of through Carnival, so it kind of made me nervous that something would go wrong with the timing or something and the cruise wouldn't wait for us since we didn't book through them, but everything worked out great and we had a blast!

Cruise 229b

our ship "tendered" in Belize which meant we had to take a small ferry from the ship to the land. That was pretty fun.

Cruise 229e

...then we had to wait an hour for 2 people in our group that showed up late.

But then we got all geared up to go zip-lining!

After zip-lining we went cave tubing! Since we picked the zip-lining/cave tubing combo, we only got to tube through 1 cave as opposed to 2... it was fun, but 1 cave was plenty for me! After a little while in the tube your neck kind of starts to hurt. It was a blast though! We got a cool spelunking head light and everything! :)

If anyone ever goes on a cruise to Belize, I highly recommend Belize Cruise Excursions.. they were very friendly and catered to our date & time change!

P.S. I hope no one is jealous of my super cool vintage water shoes from 3rd grade in these pictures! :)

Port 2: Roatan Island, Honduras

Now we're off to...

Roatan Island, Honduras

Cruise 150

we took a beach bus to the beautiful Tabyana Beach.

The island of Honduras is pretty impoverished, which also meant it was basically un-touched by tourist stuff.

and one of the coolest things about Roatan is that it has the second largest barrier reef in the world... right behind the Great Barrier Reef in Australia! And the best part about it was that the reef was right under the water so you didn't even have to go scuba diving to see it. We went snorkeling! It was amazing because you could be floating at the top of the water and stick your head right under the water and you saw this...

Seriously, coolest thing ever!!!

I'd only ever been "snorkeling" in my pool, so snorkeling in the Caribbean Sea was a pretty amazing new experience! :)

Port 1: Cozumel, Mexico

Cruise 130t
Cruise 130d

Cozumel was our first stop & one of my favorites... because 1) it was beautiful and 2) WE SWAM WITH DOLPHINS!

we swam with dolphins at Chankanaab Park which was absolutely beautiful. While we waited for our turn to swim with the dolphins, we got to lounge around the beach in neat wooden chairs and hammocks, and enjoy the white sand beaches. So peaceful & pretty!

But I was definitely ready to swim with the dolphins..

we swam with 2 dolphins named Scarlet and Estefan. They were so cute!!! We did the dorsal pull {where you hang onto their fins and they pull you along}, the foot push {where you are basically standing on their heads as they push you out of the water - amazing!}, gave them a kiss, a hug, and shake their fins. Then we had some free time with them where we got to dance and sing with them.

It was the best thing ever! If you ever have a chance to swim with dolphins I recommend it 150%! :)
