Planting Flowers With Mom

My mom is teaching me everything she knows about flowers {which is a lot!} and last night we planted some begonias {I think}. According to her, they're a very resilient flower and it's really hard to kill them! I asked her what would happen if I forgot to water them and she said they'd live anyway! I'm not sure that I actually want to test that theory, but hopefully I won't kill them! Luckily, with as much as it's been raining here lately, it probably really wouldn't matter if I did forget to water them!

Maybe if this flower thing goes well I will start planting vegetables! I'm sure that's entirely different though, isn't it?

  1. I started out planting flowers about this time of the year for the past few years. Last year, we also got 2 tomato (roma) plants and they were super easy. I just had to remember to water them and to "stake" them so that they wouldn't fall over. They grew so fast that I could hardly keep up with them.

Since my summer schedule has been so busy, I'm not sure if I'm going to plant many flowers this year. We did buy some pepper and tomato plants last weekend- although I haven't planted them yet.

I started some flower seeds inside about 10 days ago- they look good, although I'm not sure when I need to plant them outside.

  2. Tomato plants are easy? for some reason I've always thought vegetables of any kind were hard to grow! although I guess tomatoes are actually a fruit, right? haha! either way, I always just assumed they were hard to grow! I might have to try that. I'd love to have fresh veggies all the time!
