It was probably one of the scariest things I've ever done!
One evening we left the resort and went to Rick's Cafe which is famous for its perfect view of the sunset, and also for cliff diving! Leading up to the trip, I said I wanted to go cliff diving but in the back of my mind I didn't even know if we'd actually get a chance to do it so I thought I was safe.
Well, we did get the chance to do it.
They had 3 different levels you could jump from. I'm not sure how high any of them actually were, but when you're up there they're really REALLY high!
At first I didn't want to do it... especially when I saw the huge red sign with all the warnings of all the possible things that could happen to you from jumping off a cliff. But then I thought about how often I got the opportunity to jump off a cliff in Jamaica and I realized it was never, and I might never get the opportunity to do it again, so I went for it!

I started off at the lowest level {with horrible form - you're supposed to jump in straight as a board to avoid injury} and afterward I was just happy as a little clam with myself for jumping from that level and felt no need to jump from any higher.
Then I met Lisa.

She had already jumped from all of the levels {even the really, really, SUPER DUPER high one!} and she encouraged me to do it too. She tricked me by saying it was FUN. Easy for her to say though, she's been sky diving before.
So, I worked my way up... first, to the next highest level.

That one wasn't so bad because it was only like 5ft higher than the first one.
After that it was time to totally confront my fears and jump from the TOP. It was totally different up there!
Once we got up there and I looked down I really did not think I could do it. My heart was beating so fast and I was sure that I would need someone to push me off.. which they won't do so I'd have to work up the courage to jump off all by myself, which I thought was impossible. And then, if I actually did jump, I was afraid that I wouldn't jump out far enough so I might hit the rock, or that I'd break my neck, or forget to be stiff and straight and land wrong, or become paralyzed, or lose my bikini bottoms {this is actually what I was most afraid of}, or die.

Luckily none of the above happened. I may or may not have screamed the entire way down though.
I guess now I'm ready to go sky diving, right?
