I'm just loving all the family togetherness, parties with friends, the holiday treats (of course!), and the overall joyous mood that seems to blanket over everyone this time of year. The 50 degree weather probably isn't hurting either :)
Saturday was the 1st Annual Christmas Baking Party!!! (Kind of like the Fall Treats Baking Party... holiday edition!)

Can it be called annual if it's the first one? I hope so cause it should definitely happen every year! **NEW TRADITION! Mark it down!**
My mom, Josh's mom, Josie, Emily, and Amy came over for some holiday baking!

We may or may not have made a huge mess. You can't prove anything.

Okay, maybe you can. Whatever, the mess is part of the fun. :D

We made lots of super yummy deliciousness! Holiday funfetti cookies, peanut butter hershey kiss cookies, white chocolate peppermint bark, chocolate peanut butter cookies, and of course PUPPY CHOW! My favorite!!!
I talk this stuff up so much, I thought I'd finally share the recipe.. just in case you've been living under a rock and have never had it! It's super easy to make.

What you need:
- 9 cups of Chex Mix
- 1/2 cup of peanut butter (or a whole cup if you're me)
- 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1.5 cups of powdered sugar
All you do is melt the chocolate in a pan over low heat, add the peanut butter and stir until smooth. Then add to cereal and mix until it's all covered. Then dump it in a big freezer bag (preferably with penguins on it) with the powdered sugar and shake until it's all covered.

And that's it! Most easy to make, delicious, addicting Christmas treat ever!! Enjoy! :)
In other news, I had my first ever mani/pedi last night. I can finally cross that bad boy off my list!

It was pretty awesome and I can't believe it took me 25 years to get one. Pretty sure it won't take me another 25 to get my next one. My momma and I had gift cards that B had gotten us last year for Christmas and they expire Friday!! Nothing like a little procrastinating, but now I have pretty red nails for Christmas!!

The countdown is on!! 5 days til Christmas!!! Can you believe it?!
OH P.S. Josh sent me this video this morning and I about died laughing. I can't figure out how to embed it but seriously, watch it! >>>>> Message from Santa.
Oh my goodness that video is great! I'm totally making one now! =)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a great time at your baking party last weekend! I hope the rest of your holiday preparations are fun!
Merry Christmas, Lynn!
That photo of the kisses wrappers kind of looks like the couch drop massacre from last year (or the year before)...
ReplyDeleteUggh, Cough Drop...
ReplyDeleteI was wondering what a couch drop was... haha!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Cindy!!
