Shopping second hand first with ThredUp!

This post is sponsored by ThredUp, but all opinions are my own.

You guys! I don't think I have ever mentioned my love for ThredUp on my blog before... but let me tell you, the love is real.

If you've never shopped there before, you've GOT to try it!! It is my absolute faaaavorite online consignment shop! Basically it's all gently used name brand stuff for women, kids, & babies available for a fraction of what you'd pay new. But then it arrives with little tags on them which makes you FEEL like it's brand new! Or sometimes you can even find actual brand new items with the original tags still on them. Still at a fraction of retail price. So awesome!

I buy a ton of Lucy's clothes on there... because let's be honest, I love name brand clothing but she grows so fast it's hard to justify spending a ton for it every season. I also love looking for designer duds for myself on there. ThredUp inspects every item they receive and only sells like-new pieces in great condition so I'm never worried about what kind of condition it will be even though it's used. And if for whatever reason you don't like an item, you have 14 days to return it!

Some tips for shopping on ThredUp:

- Their website is super user friendly! You can sort by brand, size, color, style, etc.! I usually start off searching for my favorite brands, then narrow it down by size. This saves a ton of time!!

- Make sure to act quickly! You can only keep an item in your cart for 24 hours and then it's back up for grabs... I've missed out on a few items because I waited too long and then someone else grabbed them.

- They add new inventory every day! So if you don't see something you like, check back tomorrow.

I've also sold to them a few times, which is SUPER easy! You just request a Clean Out Bag, which is completely free, then fill it up with your stuff and mail it back! They will then pay you for the items they decide to keep - the rest you can either request to have sent back or they will donate them! Easy peasy! This is my favorite way to clean out our closets because most of the stuff I would have just donated or given away for free anyway, so why not make a little cash instead?!

Buying #secondhandfirst not only saves me money but also helps reduce waste which is good for the Earth and makes me feel even better about it!

We love ThredUp! It's fun, saves money, and saves the Earth! My kind of shopping! Have you tried it? What are your favorite brands to shop? Let me know what you find if you try it out!

xoxo
