Lucy at ONE YEAR!
I have to say... I am kind of glad these monthly (and weekly) photos are DONE. It was fun when we started (in other words, before she could move) but ever since she learned to crawl (5 months ago!) they have been nearly impossible to get, and really just got harder each week it seemed. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I took them.. it's crazy to look back at them and see how she has changed week to week and month to month. And I tried not to stress out about them, because I know the imperfect ones are real life and I'll look back and laugh about them.... like this one. On her 1 year birthday she really just wasn't having it. I thought about re-doing it on a different day, but hey...that wouldn't be her birthday and this is real life. So this is the best I could get of her with the "1 Year" block. Ha!

One year olds, man. They have SO MUCH BETTER THINGS TO DO than smile for Mommy's pictures. Like take out all of the pajamas from her pajama drawer. Obviously.
At one year, Lucy is 18lbs, 8oz.. 28 inches long! Still has 6 teeth, sleeps about 12 hours at night (with either a 2 hour nap during the day or a couple shorter naps... or sometimes no naps). Size 12 months clothes, size 2-3 shoe, and size 3 diapers.
She walks ALL over the place now! Josh and I were talking the other day and we honestly now can't even remember the last time she crawled. She's also started pointing at things and points with two fingers and it's the cutest thing I've ever seen. Her favorite thing to do right now is put things inside of other things and carry them around (she has a little bag and a shopping cart she loves putting things inside of and carrying or pushing them around... I love emptying them at the end of the day and seeing what all she has put inside). She also loves putting lids on things and is so proud of herself when she does it! It is so fun to watch her figure things out and learn something new.
She still totally loves food and is the best little eater!! She eats 3 meals a day plus snacks... usually oatmeal and yogurt for breakfast and then whatever we eat for lunch and dinner she can usually eat, too. Her favorite foods are mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, asparagus, and peas. She usually nurses twice a day now (sniff sniff), morning and before bed... sometimes before or after nap or any other random time of the day if she wants to.
I can't even believe she is already a year old!!!
Happy ONE Year, sweet girl!
