Today: Balls, Bowls, Butter, & BRRR

kosmo's red ball

Kosmo loves this red ball!

He found it the other day under the couch and he's been playing with it non-stop since then! I am pretty sure he never gets tired of playing fetch. The only time he stops is if no one is throwing it for him, and even then he is trying really hard to get you to. It's a miracle that it hasn't been shredded into a million little pieces... usually that only takes 30 minutes or less {kind of like having a pizza delivered}.

kosmo and the red ball

I guess it's because he knows if he tears it up he can't play with it anymore.

And when it's not in his mouth, he is totally focused on it... where ever it is! It's like his new best friend!

Today we got a fruit bowl!

new fruit bowl

It sits pretty in the middle of the island. I have a strange love for fruit bowls. Don't judge me. Also don't judge the lack of fruit in said fruit bowl at the moment. Grocery day is Sunday. Well, it usually ends up being, like, every day... but that's another story. The point is, there will be more fruit in it tomorrow! :)

I also made Cinnamon Honey Butter!

It's really good and really easy to make! I think I am going to make some for family, friends, neighbors, etc and put them in cute little jars decorated with Christmas ribbons. Fun {for me} and delicious {for them!} Perfect.

You should definitely try it out... I think it'd be good on muffins, biscuits, bagels, toast, etc... pretty much anything probably.

Here's what you need:

butter

1 stick of butter at room temp

honey

1/2 cup of honey

powdered sugar

1/2 cup of powdered sugar

cinnamon

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

mixture

Combine in a bowl and beat until light and fluffy...

And that's it... 10 minutes start to finish!!

It was COLD today!

me in the kitchen

I'm not a huge fan of the cold. Probably because I'm cold all the time anyway. I'm also not a fan of running in the cold. It's probably better than running in the heat, but I'm not sure because I didn't really start running until the fall. I got cold weather compression clothes {thanks, Josh!}, which help a lot though! It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so windy... I'm sure I just have to get used to it. And today I took the first step in getting used to it - I signed up for the Polar Bear Grand Prix races. It's a series of races in December, January, and February to keep you motivated to run in the winter and the first one is next Saturday. Luckily, they are all short races so hopefully I can finish them without freezing to death! :)

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
