Valentine's Day Weekend {part 2}
Continued from Valentine's Day Weekend {part 1}
Yesterday we got up early and headed to the mysterious location that Josh had planned to take me to....
CINCINATTI!
Well, actually we went to Newport, KY to go to the Newport Aquarium, but it's basically in Cincinatti.Anyway, we had to get there early in order to see the penguin parade!
We got to see the penguins whose names were Randy, Paula, and Simon. They also had penguins in the back named Kara and Ellen... we got to meet them later during the penguin encounter at the Penguin House! :) If you know me, you know I was super excited!
Plus I got to cross it off my list of 23 things to do before my birthday :)
There were penguins everywhere!! Josh took pictures for me so I wouldn't have to worry about it. I won't post them all because I know not everyone loves penguins as much as I do... but trust me, we took a ton :)
It was so much fun! I really wanted to take one home with me :)
After the penguin encounter we explored the rest of the aquarium....
After that it was definitely lunch time. We got some Mexican food, and then of course we had to have dessert... especially when we saw Cold Stone Creamery! {I am pretty sure calories don't count on Valentine's Day... at least I hope not because we also had donuts & cappuccino for breakfast, and cake for dessert with dinner at home...} So we got some 5 dollar ice cream cups and ate them at the mall..
Mine was Peanut Butter Cup Perfection and his was Coffee Lovers Only. YUM! While at the mall and people-watching we saw: a guy on stilts making balloon animals...
and a band...who let us play with them!
After our ice cream we thought about going to see a movie, but decided head back south since it was supposed to start snowing soon, plus our stomachs were hurting from all the ice cream!
The only thing that could have made the day better was if the photo booth at the mall had film in it. I was so close to getting to cross off #22 of my 23 things list too, but as I said, it didn't have any film. So close, but so far! Oh well...better luck next time...
Thanks for a fun Valentine's Day, Josh!!! :o)
