love & things I'm loving right now

So it's February! YAY! And I think that was pretty much the fastest January ever. So yay for that. I'm not a big fan of January if you couldn't tell, but this one really wasn't so bad I guess. We acquired a Lola (YAY!) and I had to quit marathon training (BOO!) Okay, so it ended badly, but today is a new month which means a new beginning so I plan to make it awesome. February isn't necessarily my favorite month ever either (although last year I got to go meet some penguins and obvs that was like the highlight of my life... okay maybe not my life but you get the point. Penguins + me = BFF's) but it is short which means it gets us to March quicker which gets us to warmer weather quicker.

Plus we get to celebrate love. Aww.

ANYWAY. enough rambling.

In honor of the month of love, I'm going to share a few things I am loving right now:

1. My lovlies. Even if it does take us 50 takes to get a decent family photo.

Too cliche? Don't worry I am loving other stuff too. But I do love each of them bunches. Even on the saddest of days these 3 can put a smile on my face. And my momma, I def love her too.

2. My spin classes.
They are pretty much the only thing saving me from total stay-in-bed-and-not-get-out-for-weeks, eat-huge-tubs-of-Ben-&-Jerry's depression due to not being able to run. I had actually kind of forgotten how much I love it. The loud music, the instructor yelling, the sweat pouring from my forehead, pushing myself to the limit. Swoon.

3. My Canon.

I almost never leave home without it. I love that I can preserve memories and be creative. And even make a little moolah on the side sometimes. Always fun when that happens.

4. My Uggs.

I know, I know. You either love 'em or you hate 'em. Well, I love mine. I can't tell you how many times this winter that I've been out and everyone else is complaining about how cold their feet are. These babies keep the tootsies nice 'n toasty. Not to mention it's kind of like walking on clouds and I get lots of compliments on them.

5. Softlips.
It makes me lips soft. I have a slight chapstick addiction.

6. Chewy Dipps Peanut Butter Granola Bars.
Mmmm. Best.snack.ever. Seriously. I have to have chocolate (or something sweet) every single day and this is the perfect snack. Because I also have a slight addiction to peanut butter. And this is healthy because it's a granola bar. (Okay, I know it's really not but that's what I tell myself and I usually believe myself.)

7. Modern Family.


I don't remember when we discovered this show. It wasn't that long ago. But I love it. It's great for a laugh. I wish there was a whole Modern Family channel on Hulu. That would make my life.

And there you have it. These are the things I think about/eat/watch/do when life gets me down (because let's face it, it does happen) but these things make it a little bit better.
