Momma's Day Celebration

IMG_5177all the momma's in the family + the little girls :) (and yes I'm a momma... to Kosmo and Lola..duh)

Well, despite the rain our cookout was a success! Unfortunately, the meteorologists were right this time and it did indeed rain, but we still had fun.. we couldn't hang out or eat outside but it wasn't pouring down rain, so Josh was able to actually grill out!

Which he thought was terribly exciting...

PYROMANIAC?!

I love having everyone over... even if it is a lot of work to clean the house and cook some food, and then clean the house again a few hours later.... it's so worth it. A special occasion isn't always necessary, but this weekend's occasion was to celebrate the momma's.. rain or shine.. because momma's are SO worth celebrating.

We recently re-decorated the living room, and Lola enjoyed watching the party from her new favorite spot:

At some point we realized it had gotten pretty quiet, and that's when realized that Gage and Morgan had retreated to the basement with Unc to play with their favorite marble race toy!

Toward the end of the night, we tried to get a picture of Granny and Grampy with the grandbabies, but Avery wasn't havin' any of it.

Luckily, I had bought these wonderful baby toys lanterns for the party which made the baby happy!

Parental tip of the day: lanterns help make crying babies not cry for photos! I might just leave them up because they kind of make me happy, too!

And that was our Mother's Day Cook-in!

Thank you to our momma's for all you do! We love you!!!!
