Halloween Par-tay

Oh man, this weekend was awesome, y'all.

On Friday we went to the Halloween party at CrossFit (more on that later) and Saturday night we had our own party! I've always liked Halloween, but only as far as trick-or-treating as a kid... past that I haven't really been much into "celebrating" it and I never thought I'd really be into having a big party myself, but I have to say -- lately I'm loving any reason to get friends & family together!

This marked mine and Josh's first time dressing up together! Yes, we've been together over 3 years now and haven't dressed up any of those years! So I wanted our costumes to coordinate, and I wanted to include the dogs too since we were having a par-tay and they would be there! SO... the only thing I could come up with (because I'm not crafty enough to make something myself and didn't want to spend a ton of money on 4 costumes) was...:

Yes, that's right - bottles of ketchup and mustard and our little hot dogs (Lola with ketchup on her back and Kosmo with mustard!)

The hot dog costumes were super adorable, but next year I probably won't go with a "one size fits most" costume for myself... it wasn't very flattering! ;)

I don't know if we'll make having a Halloween party a yearly thing but I LOVED it -- I loved seeing everyone's costumes! When some people walked in I had to do a double-take to make sure they were who I thought they were! It was SO FUN.

My brothers even drove 2 hours (4 round-trip) and Aunt Kathy & Uncle Richard drove an hour to come to our party! I have the BEST family! I love them!!

Aunt Kathy looks stoked... haha!

In the basement we set up a "photo booth"..... and exactly what I was hoping would happen did! FUN PICTURES!

Sorry for the picture overload... I got a little excited. These are my people and I love them.

It was a good night.... fun Halloween treats, cool costumes, awesome people, random conversations with my girls locked in the upstairs bathroom (don't ask... it was late).. Good times!

I have to say... I think my first Halloween party was a success! Anyone else go to any cool parties?! What did you all dress up as? I'm already getting ideas for next year...

Happy Halloween!
