Halloween treats & decor

Decorating the house for Halloween was fun this year! I usually don't really do it since we hardly get any trick-or-treaters, but since we were having a party I had the perfect excuse!

I bought a bunch of that annoying spider web stuff and stuck it everywhere. Luckily it was actually pretty easy to take down.

For ideas for noms I took to pinterest and came out with lots of fun Halloween ideas for appetizers and sweets!

details3 Witch's brew & white chocolate covered pretzels... okay, those aren't Halloween-y except for the orange sprinkles, but chocolate covered pretzels are my FAVORITE.

Okay, so I never claimed to be a chef and most of mine don't look nearly as good as they did on pinterest, but it was still fun and I ate WAY too much sugar last week.

It was fun while it lasted because a new nutrition challenge at CrossFit starts tomorrow. Six weeks of the "zone" diet. I'm still not really sure what it is. All I know is that it involves a lot of MATH. I found a meal plan though, so I think I'm just going to eat exactly what's on there and then I won't have to figure anything out.

We'll see how long that lasts.

I'm excited though because it's not as strict as paleo (you can eat bread, dairy, pasta etc...) but it seems like it's a step further because it's all about balancing protein, carbs, & fat each time you eat (which I have never paid attention to). It's supposed to fuel your lean muscle and help you shed extra fat. I had amazing results after 4 weeks of paleo this summer, so I'm interested to see what happens when I focus more on the macro-nutrients.

Anyway.

Don't forget to set your clocks back tonight!
