Hawaii! Part 4: Tunnels Beach
On our last day in Kauai we decided to try out a different beach (other than the one right outside our condo.) We'd heard lots of good things about Tunnels Beach so we decided to try it out. It was about a 45 minute drive, but it was worth it -- beautiful blue water, a cave right across the street, and the best snorkeling we had done up to that point! (Best snorkeling of the trip was in Maui, but we'll get to that later.)
Seriously, please look at that water. It was so BLUE!
One of the coolest things about Hawaii, I thought, was that we saw seals on the beach a lot! This was actually the 2nd beach we had seen one. You're not allowed to get too close to them, otherwise I would have given it a hug. I just thought they were so cool!
After we were done at the beach, we walked across the street to the cave.
I don't know what kind of face Josh is making here. Then we made the 45 minute drive back, but stopped along the way for some photo ops.
Hawaii is beautiful EVERYWHERE you look! I don't think I ever said, "Man, I wish this view was prettier." Seriously. Beautiful beaches, beautiful mountains, cool trees... you could literally pull off to the side of the road anywhere and have an amazing view. It was awesome.
P.S. I promise Josh did bring more shirts than just his 2 GORUCK shirts. (He just didn't wear them.) And we did have a washer & dryer in our condo, so they did get washed at least once. :)
