[as you probably guessed] I'm Lynn.
Welcome. I'm so happy you're here! :)

I like penguins. I'm not a model or anything, my boyfriend just really likes photography so occasionally he makes me pose for him so he can practice with his camera and all his lighting stuff. And by occasionally I mean like every other day. Okay, actually I really like photography too.. he's just more into the technical side of it than I am. We take a lot of pictures.
Speaking of my boyfriend, this is Josh....

He loves cheeseburgers. He doesn't normally hang from light poles or kick models in the head, just in case you were wondering. I really love him and I think he's pretty cute (but he doesn't like it when I call him cute so don't tell him I did... shhhh.) You may see him referred to on this blog as B, Mr. B, or yoga boy. We met in August 2009, started hanging out, and kind of never stopped. I like it that way. You can read about that here.

We live in the mid-west (it's not very exciting here) with our Boston Terriers named Kosmo and Lola, or Kola for short. Kosmo was originally Josh's baby boy and we adopted Lola together in January 2011. I recently lost my 12-year-old Miniature Schnauzer, Tobey, who was pretty much the love of my life and it just doesn't feel right to take him out of this section even though he is no longer with us, so I won't. Love you, Tobey.

I have a million and one hobbies, most of which I just like to pretend that I'm good at. Besides photography, in September 2009 I decided I wanted to become a runner. I went to Josh's half marathon and decided I was going to do one. Which was really funny because at the time I couldn't even run a mile straight (or crooked) without wanting to die and a half marathon is 13.1 miles. I ran two that year as well as a handful of other distance races. Unfortunately, I injured myself during a half in Las Vegas and battled an IT band injury for all of 2011 which majorly sidelined my running ambitions.
Once marathon training was out, my workouts began to feel purpose-less. I was going to the gym just to go and didn't have any goals. My workouts were the same every day and I was beginning to get bored. Enter: CrossFit. In June 2012 I started CrossFit and haven't looked back! I LOVE it. I am seeing real results, getting stronger every day, and I'm never bored! Not sure I can ever go back to the "regular" gym. :)
I also like to do cooking experiments in my kitchen, travel around the world, cross things off of my bucket list, sing in the car, and just create memories with people I love.
Speaking of people I love... there are a lot of them.

This is my momma. She is pretty much my best friend. I love her a lot. A lot a lot. She knows everything. (Not really, but I ask her when I have a question about anything and she usually has an answer, especially if it's about plants.) Also, I think she's beautiful and I hope I look just like her when I grow up.

I also have 2 older brothers. I am pretty lucky. They rock. Even though they both live at least an hour away and we don't see each other as often as I wish we did. But the cool thing is, I know they are always there for me. Oh, their names are Eric (left) and Adam (right). And they are not twins, although a lot of people ask me if they are even though I think they look nothing alike.

And this is my Daddy. He has been gone for 11 years now and it's the one part of my life that I think really really sucks. He died suddenly and unexpectedly from a brain aneurysm 5 days after Christmas when I was 14 years old. I miss him every day and I wish he was still here to experience my life with me because I think he would think it was pretty fantastic. I love you, Dad. P.S. He wasn't a pirate. He was just in a play as a pirate back in 1987. And that's me, as a baby.
So anyway. Don't want to end on a sad note because I still think LIFE IS GOOD! I first started blogging way back in 2002 (on livejournal.com) when Eric moved away for college and it was a good way for us to keep up with each other... now it is more of a creative outlet for me and a way to document all the good (and sometimes the bad) in life. Plus, I don't really have time to scrapbook anymore (sad!) so this is my scrapbook of sorts. But seriously, life is awesome! and I want to remember all of it! Good things are everywhere, you just have to look for them.
Thanks for stopping by, I think you're great!!! :-D
